about

The third of five singles off the upcoming album, Rosemary is about two newlyweds, finding out where and how to start their life. Its about valuing each and every step of such a massive transition, from the homes you live in, to the homes you don't. Maybe some plans don't come to fruition, but the speaker is so enthralled with starting a life with this person, that even the failures feel like victories. The stress of starting a life is enough to make the speaker crumble if they're alone, but together, they find the strength to roll with the punches. The instrumentation is floaty and dance-like, with a climactic center to convey how immensely this relationship empowers the speaker. To our listeners: if you find another half of your heart in someone; if they bring joy to the most stressful decisions, and they push you to operate at your best, do everything you can to remind them how important they are to you. Give Rosemary a listen and let us know what you think!

lyrics

Giddy at the thought of
I said, I'm giddy at the thought of
Whatever you want to do next
Can totally be something you do next

A twinkle in your eyes, now
I said, a twinkle in your eyes now
Another bright idea for the Filofax
You've always been the one who acts

Say it in a way she will hear
Take your pick from the words I've written here

That's something I have in spades
And nothing can take away
From Rosemary, from Rosemary

Come over the last hill
As I come over the last hill
Don't see a house or town that makes this home
Only you under a lamppost

If we gotta start it over
If we lose it all and start over
What's going to stop us from climbing back there
We can always take the stairs

Say it in a way she will hear
Take your pick from the words I've written here

That's something I have in spades
And nothing can take away
From Rosemary, from Rosemary

That's something I have in spades
And nothing can take away
From Rosemary
